Thank you for choosing to host a Sweetgrass Bunny Co. Holland Lop as your house guest for the week. We put a lot of time and love into our precious little lops, and we take their wellbeing seriously. This agreement outlines the care responsibilities and terms for your trial hosting period, so your guest bun stays happy, healthy, and safe in your home.

1. Parties & Purpose

This Host Care Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Sweetgrass Bunny Co. ("Sweetgrass" or "Host Provider") and the undersigned host family ("Host"), for a one-week (7-day) temporary trial hosting of one Holland Lop rabbit ("the Bunny" or "guest bun").

The purpose of this Agreement is to provide a safe, nurturing, short-term home for the Bunny while allowing the Host to experience daily life with a Holland Lop. The Bunny remains the sole property of Sweetgrass Bunny Co. throughout the hosting period.

2. Hosting Period

The hosting period shall be seven (7) consecutive days. The specific pickup date, return date, and return time window will be confirmed in writing (via email or reservation confirmation) prior to pickup.

The Host agrees to return the Bunny to Sweetgrass Bunny Co. by the agreed-upon return date and within the confirmed time window. Any extension must be approved in advance by Sweetgrass in writing.

If Host chooses to adopt, they cannot keep the Bunny they are hosting, even if they pay the adoption fee, without expressed agreement in writing and going through the adoption process with Sweetgrass Bunny Co. The Bunny must be returned. See #9.

3. Daily Care Routine

The Host agrees to follow this daily routine for the duration of the hosting period:

• Feeding — Provide the measured pellet ration (morning and evening) and unlimited Timothy hay, both supplied by Sweetgrass. Refill the water bowl with fresh, filtered water (also provided by Sweetgrass) at least twice daily.

• Litter & Cleanliness — Spot-clean the cage daily by wiping down soiled surfaces with provided spray cleaner and paper towels.

• Daily Health Check — Observe the Bunny each morning and evening for appetite, activity, droppings, and demeanor, and notify Sweetgrass Bunny Co. of any changes or concerns.

4. Housing & Environment

The Bunny will be housed indoors in the enclosure provided by Sweetgrass Bunny Co. The Host will maintain a comfortable ambient temperature between 60°F and 75°F, keeping the enclosure away from direct sunlight, drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning units.

The Host will ensure the play and housing areas are free of hazards: electrical cords covered or out of reach, houseplants removed or placed out of access, and gaps or spaces where the Bunny could become stuck sealed off.

5. Diet & Supplies

The Host will use ONLY the water, feed, and hay provided by Sweetgrass Bunny Co. No additional treats, fruits, vegetables, grains, or commercial rabbit snacks may be offered without prior written approval from Sweetgrass.

All supplies, equipment, and enrichment items provided with the Bunny remain the property of Sweetgrass and must be returned at the end of the hosting period in clean, reusable condition (normal wear excepted).

6. Safety & Other Pets

If the Host household includes other pets (dogs, cats, or other animals), those pets must be kept in a separate room from the Bunny at all times. No exceptions, even under supervision.

Interaction with the Bunny is limited to adults and to children under direct, continuous adult supervision. The Bunny must not be taken outdoors for play or exercise unless expressly approved in advance by Sweetgrass. The Host will not bathe the Bunny at any time for any reason. If Bunny is soiled for any reason, the Host will notify Sweetgrass promptly for advice or instructions.

7. Handling & Enrichment

The Bunny will be handled gently and with two-handed support at all times, always supporting the hindquarters. The Bunny must never be lifted by the ears, scruff, or limbs, and must not be dropped or left unattended on elevated surfaces.

The Host will provide daily enrichment using the toys and activity ideas included with the Bunny, and will allow the Bunny quiet rest time in its enclosure as needed.

8. Health Monitoring & Emergencies

The Host will monitor the Bunny daily for any signs of illness, including but not limited to: loss of appetite, lethargy, diarrhea or no droppings, discharge from eyes or nose, head tilt, or labored breathing.

If any concern arises, the Host will contact Sweetgrass Bunny Co. immediately — within 2 hours of noticing the change — using the emergency contact number provided at pickup.

9. Fee & Adoption Credit

The hosting fee is $100 for the 7-day period. This fee is non-refundable. If the Host chooses to adopt the Bunny (if available for adoption) or another available Holland Lop within 60 days of the return date, the $100 hosting fee will be credited toward the adoption fee. Host must complete the reservation process, at which point they can select their bunny and take home date. After 60 days, the adoption credit expires.

10. Liability & Property

The Bunny and all provided supplies remain the property of Sweetgrass Bunny Co. at all times. The Host assumes full responsibility for the safekeeping and proper care of the Bunny during the hosting period.

The Host agrees to reimburse Sweetgrass for any loss, theft, injury, or death of the Bunny, or loss or damage to provided equipment, that results from the Host's negligence, failure to follow this Agreement, or unsanctioned activities. Sweetgrass Bunny Co. is not liable for any property damage or injury caused by the Bunny within the Host's home.

11. Early Return & Termination

Sweetgrass Bunny Co. reserves the right to request the early return of the Bunny at any time, for any reason.

The Host may return the Bunny early if they are unable to continue providing care; early return does not entitle the Host to a refund of the hosting fee.

If the Bunny is not returned by the agreed-upon date and time window, and no extension has been approved, Sweetgrass Bunny Co. may take steps to recover the Bunny and the Host may be responsible for associated recovery costs.

12. Acknowledgment

By signing below, the Host confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms of this Host Care Agreement for the duration of the one-week hosting period.
