Our Trial Run a Bun program lets you experience life with a Holland Lop — whether you're exploring adoption, seeking a fun weekend experience, or just want to cuddle with these adorable companions. It's a wonderful way to spend quality time with buns, and they get extra love in the process!
Thinking about adopting? Hosting is the perfect way to see if bunny life is right for you — and our host families receive priority adoption access and a credit toward your adoption fee. No pressure though — many folks host just for the joy and companionship.

How It Works
Learn About Hosting
Find out what it means to host a bunny temporarily — including space requirements, daily care, and what to expect during your trial.
Submit Your Paperwork
Complete our simple host application and care agreement so we can match you with the right bunny for your home and lifestyle.
Make a Reservation
Once approved, choose your hosting dates and we'll confirm your reservation with a bunny that's a great fit for your family.
Pickup Guest Bunny
On your scheduled start date, you'll pick up your guest bun along with all the supplies they'll need for a comfortable stay.
Return Guest Bunny
At the end of your hosting period, your guest bun returns to Sweetgrass Bunny Co. safe, loved, and well cared for.
Decision Making
Decide if bunny life is right for you! Your hosting fee is credited toward a single adoption within 60 days of your return date — after that, the credit expires.
